(Sort of) Inaugural Post/Waiting for Comcast.
Hello all and welcome to the official blog of the Slanty Shanty, the east village apartment I moved into a week ago with a Mr. David Bourla.
Since last Saturday, I:
For now, I'm sitting here on Frank WILSON!'s couch (he's the single, odd, middle-aged, saxophone-playing owner of this apartment [me in 25 years].) Bourla and I like to refer to him as either WILSON! (the way Tom Hanks addresses his volleyball when it gets away from his raft in Castaway) or as Frank followed by a random last name every time we say it (e.g. Grimes, Quattrone, Costanza).
Oh yeah, because WILSON! hasn't gotten all of his weird-ass shit out of here yet, we're living rent-free until April 1st! NICE! I like!
Pictures will follow, as will humorous tales of the past week.

- got to drive a uhaul around manhattan in bad traffic;
- got to drive said uhaul on the FDR;
- almost hit a man with aforementioned uhaul;
- have seen more rats than I had in my entire life up to last Saturday (don't worry, they're all outside);
- eaten at Prune, my favorite brunch place which, conveniently, is located right down the street;
